Information We Collect and How We Collect It. We collect and use information about you where we reasonably believe it will help us administer our business or provide products, Service or other opportunities to you. The information you provide allows PayME to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, statistically analyze Site usage, improve our content and product offerings and customize our Site’s content, layout and Service. The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We use tax return information only in accordance with applicable laws and in order to provide the tax return and electronic filing or other Service you have requested. Except as described herein we do not disclose tax return information to unrelated third parties nor use it to market third parties’ products and services. For our records, we may, in our sole discretion, retain filed forms, original and updated information for many reasons, including but not limited to technical constraints, dispute resolution, and troubleshooting. When e-Filing forms, we also will keep completed Form 8879-EMP, IRS e-file Signature Authorization, as required by IRS rules and regulations.
PayME collects information from our users at several different points, including but not limited to the following:
User Provided Information. To provide e-Filing Services on the Site, we ask that you provide certain information to complete forms, and make payment, including your name, address, e-mail address and phone number. We do not require a username and password. We may store the information you provide to us. Providing this information to us is voluntary, but if it is not provided, we might not be able to process your transaction. Providing the requested information implies your consent for us to use this data in order to respond to your specific request.
Correspondence. If you contact PayME or otherwise correspond with us, we may retain such information. In addition, where we have sent you an email, we may monitor such correspondence (e.g., receive confirmation that you have opened it).
Information from Other Sources. We may receive information about you from other sources, such as our agents, vendors and service providers and from publicly available sources.
Automatically Collected Information. We automatically collect certain usage information when you access the PayME Site or use the Service, such as your device identifier (if using a mobile device), Internet Protocol (IP) address (if using a browser), operating system, browser type and the address of a referring site. We also automatically collect certain usage information through cookies and related technologies, as described below.
